Missouri's state parks and historic sites provide untold ways to get away. Feel like traveling back in time? Tours at historic sites can help you do that. Want to do some ORV riding? Two state parks provide two of the best places in the state to go off-roading.

Summer too hot? Missouri's parks have enough swimming holes to keep you cool. Love birding? Abundant trees and wetlands make Missouri's spots a prime location for spotting rare birds.

More than 1,000 miles of trails make Missouri's parks a dream for hikers, bicyclists and backpackers. Some of those trails allow equestrian access, too, so riders can get it away from it all.

Want to fly your drone? There are no laws prohibiting drones on state park grounds, but we do ask that you keep it to the main, open day-use areas and be respectful of other visitors in the park. If you will be taking photos for professional use or sale, there would be a process to go through to gain approval for that.
