Group Volunteer Opportunities

Adopt-a-Park

a group of Boy Scouts building benches The Adopt-a-Park program gives groups a chance to become actively involved in preserving and interpreting the state’s most outstanding natural landscapes and cultural landmarks. Community service groups, youth groups, garden clubs, Scout troops, church organizations, families, schools and private businesses are encouraged to get involved. Volunteer groups can adopt trails, gardens, campgrounds, streams and the parks themselves. Adopt-a-Park volunteers will receive training for their particular project and a sign will be placed at the adopted park indicating the project and the adopter’s name. (A minimum time commitment is required.) Click here for more information.

Group Projects

Is your company, Scout group, church group, bicycle club or civic organization looking for a community service project? Groups can volunteer anywhere from one day to one year. Your group’s interest will be matched with a park’s needs.
