Individual picnic sites provide the perfect place for a family dinner or a quick lunch. Picnic areas, which include tables, outdoor grills, restroom facilities, and playgrounds, are scattered throughout the park.

Picnic Shelters

Two open picnic shelters are available and are perfect for large family gatherings or special outings. Both shelters have picnic tables, outdoor grills and a children’s playground, a water fountain and hydrant, and restroom facilities nearby.

  • The large shelter can be reserved for $45 per day, accommodates up to 70 guests, is accessible to people with disabilities. It features electricity and restrooms.
  • The “old CCC” shelter can be reserved for $35 per day and accommodates roughly 30 guests.

If not reserved, the shelters are available at no charge on a first-come first-served basis.

Shelter Reservations

To reserve a shelter, contact the park to check for availability by calling 573-548-2201. If available, fill out the Shelter Reservation Application and mail it to the park for approval. Submission of this application does not guarantee reservation of the shelter.

An accessible playground is located near the old CCC shelter. There is another playground in the campground.
