at Current River State Park
The park’s two lakes are ideal for an easy afternoon of boating, canoeing or kayaking. Small nonmotorized boats are permitted at the upper lake year-round. The lower lake is open to small, nonmotorized boats May through October. There are no boat ramps on the lakes, so it is necessary to carry boats to the water.
The park is located along the Current River, but there are currently no boat ramps along the river. Visitors can access the river on their own or play or wade in the water.
