Baking Wild

11/6/2021 to 11/7/2021 | Current River State Park | Salem, MO

Put a wild twist on traditional holiday favorites with Kirsten Alvey-Mudd. In this class, you will learn new ways of baking holiday cookies and breads as well as new punches for your holiday gatherings.

Class will start at 8 a.m. with a short PowerPoint presentation (if you would like a copy, please bring a jump drive). Then we will take a short walk to look at the plants that we will be using for our goodies. After the walk, we will start our baking and sampling. You will get to take home the goodies we make and the recipes we use.

What to bring:

  1. Paper for notes and jump drive for PowerPoint (optional).
  2. Good walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.
  3. Lunch.
  4. Water bottle.
  5. Container to take goodies home.

This is the same class both Saturday, the sixth, and Sunday, the seventh. Space is limited, and registration is required. For more information or to register, contact Connie at 573-751-1224 or connie.weber@dnr.mo.gov.
