Looking for a fun activity for your children ages 6 to 12 this summer? Annie and Abel Van Meter State Park is hosting a three-day Explorer Day Camp July 14 to July 16 from 9 a.m. to noon. This camp will include hiking, interpretive programs, crafts and more!
Campers will participate in the Missouri State Parks Explorer Program, and each child will receive a State Parks Explorer Award and patch upon successful completion of the program. The Explorer Program consists of two service projects, two interpretive studies, attendance at three interpretive programs, and completion of one identification task. Park interpretive staff will lead participants through all of these tasks throughout the week.
This event is free and open to children ages 6 to 12 years old. For more information about this event or to reserve your child’s spot, call the park office at 660-886-7537.
Camp is limited to 40 participants. The deadline for registration is July 10, 2020 at 4 p.m.
