First Day Bison Hike

1/1/2019 | Prairie State Park | Mindenmines, MO

Come out to the park for a First Day Hike and get that “prairie feeling” and some exercise at the same time. Visitors should be prepared for a 2-mile hike over uneven terrain in winter conditions. Since we won’t know the location of the bison until that morning, bringing water, snacks and wear sturdy footwear. The wind can be rather nasty this time of year, so be sure to dress for it. Following the hike, refreshments will be provided.

Hike time: 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.
Meeting Location: Regal Tallgrass Prairie Nature Center

First Day Hikes are promoted by America’s State Parks and you will be joining hikers from all 50 states. For more information about hikes in Missouri State Parks, click here.
