Free guided tours are offered year-round (except New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas) and are approximately 45 minutes to one hour in length. Meet at the tour desk on the first floor of the Capitol. Please review the tour guidelines before making your reservation or visiting for a walk-in tour.
Tours for Walk-In Guests:
Monday through Friday
Tours for walk-ins start on the hour beginning at 9 a.m. (excluding the noon hour) with the last tour beginning at 4 p.m. These are available year-round. Please visit our website to make a reservation online. If a given tour has already met its full capacity of 60, walk-ins may have to wait until the next available tour.
Saturday and Sunday Tours
Tours begin at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. These are available year-round.
Self-guided tour maps are available at the Missouri State Museum Tour Desk located on the first floor.
Reservations are required for groups of 10 or more. The maximum allowed on a tour is 60. Multiple small groups may be schedule for the same tour, so please have an exact headcount when making reservations. Tour reservations may be made online.
Group Tour Times:
March through May
Tours begin at the top of the hour, 20 minutes past the hour and 40 minutes past the hour (excluding the noon hour) beginning at 9 a.m. The last tour begins at 4 p.m.
June through February
Tours are scheduled every hour beginning at 9 a.m. (excluding the noon hour) with the last tour beginning at 4 p.m.
