at Scott Joplin House State Historic Site
Free curbside parking is available at the front door. The front entrance is up six limestone steps; however, there is an accessible railed ramp at the Beaumont Street entrance of The Rosebud that leads to the back door of the visitor center. All of the first floor is accessible and provides restrooms and a water fountain. The gift shop offers for sale an assortment of books, music and souvenirs.
The tour starts in the interpretive center on the first floor with a video. Also downstairs are exhibit galleries interpreting the history of the neighborhood, Scott Joplin and ragtime music. The tour continues upstairs in the historic residence and ends back on the first floor in the music room, where visitors are entertained with ragtime music and can view a working player piano.
