First Day Hike

1/1/2025 | St. Joe State Park | Park Hills, MO

Join St. Joe State Park staff as we start off the new year with a First Day Hike on Lakeview Trail. The majority of Lakeview Trail consists of natural surfaces, such as dirt and rock, but a 0.2-mile section along Monsanto Lake is paved and accessible. Portions of the trail along the lake follow the contours with a few rolling hills. Other portions of the trail are somewhat steep with loose gravel. The hike will be relatively easy overall and will cover a distance of 1.25 miles.

This event is free, open to the public, and suitable for all ages. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash. Participants are encouraged to bring water and snacks and wear closed-toe shoes.

Registration is required for this event and can be completed by clicking here.

For more information about the hike, call the park office at 573-431-1069. To check for status updates, visit our Park and Site Status Map or the park's Facebook page.
