Old-Time Outdoor Concert: Buckhannon Brothers

5/22/2021 | First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site | St. Charles, MO

Join us in the backyard of First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site to enjoy a beautiful spring evening and a free old-time music concert. The First Missouri State Capitol is just a stone’s throw from the Missouri River, and it's the perfect place to sit back, relax and appreciate some old-time tunes played by the Buckhannon Brothers.

The Buckhannon Brothers will perform traditional, old-time instrumental music. Their expansive repertoire ranges from lively fiddle tunes to string rags, from waltzes to schottisches, and from polkas to blues. These brothers from St. Louis are highly regarded and well known in the folk music community. Curtis' mandolin playing is perfectly complemented and balanced by Dennis' guitar accompaniment. Any time you can hear the Buckhannon Brothers perform, a good time is guaranteed!

The public is welcome to bring a picnic dinner and a blanket or lawn chairs and let their toes do the tapping. This program is part of the Bicentennial Heritage Series offered by First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site.
