Interpretive Kayak Tour

Meet our local wildlife and enjoy the scenic views of the lake on an interpretive guided tour with park staff. This beginner-level tour will last one hour and is open to anyone 10 or older.

Participants are expected to know how to kayak before attending the program. Kids ages 10 to 17 must be with an adult. Kayaks, life vests and paddle will be provided. You are welcome to bring your own personal flotation device. Registration is required. Registrants must arrive 10 minutes early and meet at the kayak hut at Lake Buteo, which is located down the road from the Knob Noster State Park visitor center and across the street from the campground.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Only three spots are allowed per registration, per family/group. Only 10 spots are open per tour, and registration fills early. A waitlist will be created once registration is filled. Courtesy calls will be made to registrants on the Friday before the tour. Failing to notify of absence or not attending when registered will prohibit individuals/groups from registering for future kayak tours.

Please cancel your reservation and do not attend if you are not feeling well, have been in contact with someone waiting for COVID-19 testing or are waiting for test results for yourself.
