First Day Hike

1/1/2020 | St. Joe State Park | Park Hills, MO

The public is invited to celebrate the first day of the year by mixing mine history with a walk in the woods at St. Joe State Park. We will explore the remains of old lead mine structures in the part of the park near the historic Elvins community. Meet at the Harris Branch trailhead parking lot on Pimville Road, 1 mile south of Highway 32, at 10 a.m.

We will be hiking off trail through the woods for an approximately 1-mile round trip. Hot chocolate will be served at the park office afterward. Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes.

Registration is not required but is encouraged. Click here to register.
