Babler's First Day Hike

1/1/2020 | Dr. Edmund A. Babler Memorial State Park | Wildwood, MO

Join us for Babler’s first hike of the year. We will be hiking Hawthorn Trail, across from the Alta Shelter. Hawthorn Trail is approximately 1.25 miles long, making it the park’s shortest trail. However, it contains a diversity of geology found nowhere else in the park.

A short distance from the trailhead before the loop begins, Hawthorn Trail crosses the Equestrian Trail. Continuing straight past the intersection, it goes along the northeast side of a narrow ridge and returns on the southwestern side. Refreshments will be available at the Alta Shelter.

Registration is not required but is encouraged. Click here to register.

Hike Time: 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. | Meeting Location: Alta Shelter

First Day Hikes are promoted by America's State Parks, and you will be joining hikers from all 50 states. Click here to view more First Day Hikes at Missouri State Parks.
