"An Amazing Story: German Immigrant Abolitionists"

7/20/2019 | Deutschheim State Historic Site | Hermann, MO

Deutschheim State Historic Site is sponsoring a new play by Gitana Productions entitled "An Amazing Story: German Immigrant Abolitionists," to be performed at the historic Showboat Community Theatre in Hermann. This original play was inspired by the amazing stories of the remarkable German immigrants who were also leading abolitionists in Missouri. Following the performance, there will be a question and answer session with actors, playwrights and historians.

Tickets can be purchased for $10 at the box office on the day of the performance or online at www.showboattheatre.org. There is no charge for children under 12 years of age.

A tour of Deutschheim State Historic Site at 10 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. would be a great way to start a day of historical exploration and learning. No 2:30 tour will be held, and the visitor center will be closed for this special event.

Performance Time: 3 p.m. - 5 p.m.
Performance Location: 112 W. Fourth St., Herman, MO
