at Big Lake State Park
Limited camping available starting May 16, 2022. Campsites open and available for reservation include sites 1 through 8 (50-amp electric), sites 10 through 15 (30-amp electric) and sites 17 through 30 (30-amp electric). The camper cabins and all other campsites in the Big Lake State Park campground remain closed at this time for repairs and upgrades. The north campground shower house and restroom facility will be available for the convenience of campers. The freshwater fill-up and dump/clean-out station are also available for customer use.
The campground offers basic and electric campsites and is fully reservable.
You are now able to reserve your Missouri State Parks campsite up to 12 months in advance, expanding from the previous six-month window. Important Camping Information:
- This campground is fully reservable.
- Reservable sites may be available on a walk-up registration basis if the site is not reserved. Before occupying a site, check with the park staff or follow the directions on the posted card or signs.
- For weekend reservations, there is a required two-night minimum stay of Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday.
- During the off-season (Nov. 1 through April 14), potable water is available at the frost-free spigot at the dump station.
- Campers planning to carry in firewood must comply with current firewood advisories.
- Parking of watercraft or all-terrain vehicle (ATV) trailers off of the campsite pad (usually in the grass) is permitted at this facility.
- Wi-Fi is not available at Big Lake State Park.
- Camping is limited to any 15 days within a 30-consecutive-day period at any one park or historic site.
