at St. Francois State Park

a naturalist and a group of kids use nets to discover aquatic lifeA park naturalist is available year-round to provide informative and entertaining programs on a wide variety of nature subjects. Weekend activities from April through the end of October are provided in the campground, featuring nature hikes, creek walks, evening slide programs, demonstrations, crafts and games. The Missouri State Parks and State Historic Sites Explorer Program is offered to all who are interested each weekend.

The naturalist is also available throughout the year to provide schools and civic groups educational activities and programs, both at St. Francois State Park and off-site. Call the park office at 573-358-2173 well in advance to schedule a field trip or arrange for a special program visit from the naturalist.
