at Sappington African American Cemetery State Historic Site
The historic site offers 14 parking spots, two of which are paved, level concrete, while the rest are hard-packed gravel. One paved spot is designated as accessible.
The cemetery is accessed via a level, concrete pathway that passes through a 6-foot-wide entranceway. From there, the surface turns to grass. The natural, uneven surface of the cemetery, which has not been modified for accessibility, could be a barrier to some. The parking lot provides interpretive panels and a good overall view of the cemetery.
A bench is located at the entrance to the cemetery, and trees provide a moderate amount of shade. Restrooms and drinking water are not available.
