The grass is green and growing, bison are ready to have their calves, and warmer weather is here! Come to the park to learn about bison and view them in their natural habitat. Meet at the Tallgrass Prairie Nature Center. Be prepared for a 2-mile hike over uneven terrain. Bringing water, snacks, insect repellent, a hat and sunscreen, and wearing sturdy shoes is recommended. Binoculars will be useful in looking at bison as well as other wildlife that we may see. Dress for cool or warm weather, the winds can make a day much cooler than it really is.
