A mad scientist in Missouri? Author Victoria Cosner will tell the story of St. Louis’ Dr. Joseph Nash McDowell. In the mid-19th century, the surgeon sparked rumors of macabre medical practices, grave robbing and insanity. Join us to find the truth behind the wild tales of McDowell’s life and practice.
The program continues the museum's ongoing series, "Museum After Hours," held the first Wednesday of each month. In addition to the program, the museum's galleries will be open until 9 p.m. Click here to read the news release.
