During the Civil War, the border state of Missouri was deeply divided between Union and Confederate sympathizers. By the war's end, the population of Barton County had dropped from 1,817 individuals to just six families.
You're invited to learn more about this turbulent chapter of Missouri history during a game of Civil War bingo. Park staff will share historical information and will hand out prizes for players who fill in a row or column on their card. This event will take place inside the Regal Tallgrass Prairie Nature Center from 2-3 p.m.
