Outdoor Discovery Camp

Join us at Camp Grand River, Crowder’s organized group camp, for a weekend-long outdoor experience!

This event will include hands-on learning, as well as guided experiences and informative programs. Try something for the first time, such as archery, atlatl or orienteering. Learn about native snakes as well, or discover some DIY camping tips and tricks. Find out how to safely and efficiently forage for food, or try your hand at fishing. With 20-plus activities to choose from throughout the day, there will be something for everyone!

Participants may either stay in the cabins at Camp Grand River or set up a tent on the grounds of the group camp. Each cabin has bunk beds, restrooms and showers and can accommodate up to 19 people. All meals will be provided.

Outdoor Discovery Camp is open to everyone ages 10 and up. Preregistration is required and can be completed by calling the park office at 660-359-6473.
