Special-Use Area

at Arrow Rock State Historic Site

The special-use camping area is by reservation only for group camping. It offers campers four picnic tables, three fire pits, and a large area to set up multiple tents. Restrooms and a water hydrant are approximately 250 yards away. Camping capacity is 30 campers. A $2 per camper, per night fee is charged to organized youth groups; a $75 nightly rate and $100 refundable damage deposit are charged for all other groups. Check-in is 3 p.m. and check-out is 2 p.m. the following day. The quiet hours policy remains in effect.

COVID-19 Temporary Hours

As of April 1, 2021, the visitor center will reopen with limited capacity. The center will be open Wednesdays through Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The maximum capacity will be limited to 24 guests at a time. An audio-visual orientation will be available. A special exhibit in the temporary exhibit hall is set to open April 1. Hours are subject to review and change depending on the COVID-19 situation.
