[Virtual] May Coffee Talk: It's Always a Cardinal

5/20/2022 | Nathan and Olive Boone Homestead State Historic Site | Ash Grove, MO

Have you ever asked the question, “What’s that bird?” That spark of curiosity is all you need to venture into the wonderful hobby of birding. Join Missouri State Parks Chief Resource Interpreter Alison Dubbert as she shares how she dived headfirst into the hobby of birding. Alison will also go over useful tools and tips to get you started. If you aren’t a birder already, Alison’s enthusiasm will inspire you to become one. After all, birding is for everyone!

As the chief resource interpreter at Missouri State Parks, Alison coordinates interpreter trainings, manages statewide interpretive efforts, and provides leadership to field interpreters. Working as a historian for much of her career, she is very comfortable in libraries and archives. Recently, she has ventured outside and discovered new passions, such as archery, birding and feeding mosquitoes.
