Turtle Awareness Poster Contest

5/4/2022 to 5/23/2022 | Cuivre River State Park | Troy, MO

It is spring, and turtles are on the move. Several of Missouri's 17 species of turtles can be found right here at Cuivre River State Park. In an effort to raise community awareness about threats to our native turtles, students at Troy Buchanan High School are creating posters with turtle conservation messages that will be on display in the park's visitor center from May 4-23.

Visitors will be able to vote for their favorite poster, and the winner will be announced on World Turtle Day – Monday, May 23. You can view and vote for the posters from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

For more information about the poster contest, contact the park office at 636-528-7247.
