Join Bennett Spring State Park staff at 10 a.m. for a First Day Hike on Savanna Ridge Trail. Savanna Ridge Trail is an easy 2.5-mile loop that will take approximately one hour and 15 minutes to hike. It consists of old roads used by people living in the area from the 1840s to present as they accessed ponds and grazing areas. The trail is narrow and winds through an open woodland along a ridge overlooking the east side of Spring Hollow. The activity will begin at the Natural Tunnel/Savanna Ridge Trailhead parking lot, located past the spring and the park cabins.
