This event has been canceled.

Kick off the new year with a First Day Hike at Echo Bluff State Park. Join park staff for a hike of Painter Ridge Trail. Meet at the trailhead at the bluff top. We will hike both loops of the trail for a total of 2 miles. This trail has a moderately difficult rating.

While hiking this trail, you will see the beautiful views of the valley below as well as some really cool rock outcroppings. The hike starts at 9 a.m. and should be completed by 11 a.m. You are encouraged to bring water, wear appropriate footwear, and dress for the weather. A hiking stick might also come in handy.

Registration for this event is required, and a sign-up link will be available here: https://icampmo1.usedirect.com/MSPWeb/Activities/Search.aspx.

This event is free and open to all ages. If the temperature is below 30 degrees, the hike will be canceled.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact the park naturalist at connie.weber@dnr.mo.gov or 573-751-1224. We hope to see you on the trail! Happy New Year!!
