Colton Kiso: "Forged in Fire"

2/22/2020 | Arrow Rock State Historic Site | Arrow Rock, MO

Colton Kiso is a blacksmith and a native of Saline County. He has been blacksmithing since he was 10 years old. During special events, Colton can be found at the John P. Site’s Gun Shop in Arrow Rock working on the forge. Recently, he appeared on the History Channel series “Forged in Fire.” Colton made it to the final round of the four-person competition, but, in the end, he finished second.

He said, “I might not have won ‘Forged in Fire,’ but I learned so much as a bladesmith, and I have grown as a person doing this competition.”

Colton will give a presentation at the Arrow Rock State Historic Site visitor center on Saturday, Feb. 22. He will talk about his experiences on "Forged in Fire" and in blacksmithing. This program is free and open to the public.
