Bison Hike

2/1/2020 | Prairie State Park | Mindenmines, MO

It is still winter, but spring is not that far off. The prairie in winter can be a great place for solitude. Join us on our guided bison hike on Feb. 1 to see what the prairie has to offer this time of year. We will explore the prairie while learning about bison.

Be prepared for a 2-mile hike over uneven terrain. Bringing water, snacks, a hat and sunscreen, and wearing sturdy shoes is recommended. Binoculars will be useful for looking at bison as well as other wildlife that we may see. Be sure to dress for the weather - the prairie winds can be rather nasty this time of year. Don't forget your cameras!

Registration is required and limited to 50 people. Please call 417-843-6711 to register.
