First Day Hike

1/1/2020 | St. Francois State Park | Bonne Terre, MO

Join us at the Swimming Deer trailhead, located in the campground, for St. Francois’ First Day hike. Swimming Deer Trail is 3.15 miles and should take about two hours to hike. The trail travels in the river bottom, along bluffs overlooking the Big River, and through the woods.

Wear good hiking shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. Leashed dogs are welcome provided they are respectful to other hikers and dogs and are cleaned up after. If inclement weather is forecast, please call the park office at 573-358-2173 for updates.

Hike Time: 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.
Meeting Location: Swimming Deer Trailhead
