Do you have a passion for hiking, nature and Missouri's cultural history? Do you enjoy observing and learning about new plants and animals? If you answered yes to either of these questions, then join us on Saturday, Oct. 5 for a guided hike of Earthworks Trail.
This hike will run weather permitting. In the event of heavy rain or lightning, it will be canceled. The trail terrain is rugged with many steep hills and narrow walkways. Please wear appropriate footwear -- no flip-flops -- and bring and use insect repellent.
This event is free and open to the public. Annie and Abel Van Meter State Park is located 12 miles north of Marshall on Highway 122. For more information about the event, call the park at 660-886-7537.
