In celebration of National Trails Day, Missouri State Parks and Missouri Department of Conservation will host athlete, author, speaker and National Geographic Adventurer of the Year Jennifer Pharr Davis. The program is free and open to the public. Click here to read the news release.
* 10 a.m. – Hiking resources available for attendees in lobby.
* 10:30 a.m. – Listen to guest speaker Jennifer Pharr Davis talk about her experiences on the Appalachian Trail.
* 11:45 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. – Urban Hike: A guided 1.5-mile hike will highlight the Discovery Center Native Plant Garden, Kauffman Garden, Theis Park and the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art.
