5/13/2017 | Bennett Spring State Park | Lebanon, MO
This photo walk will focus on the techniques of taking images of nature in the beautiful Ozarks environment. Participants are encouraged to bring a camera, dress appropriate for outdoor weather and wear comfortable shoes. Those who do not own a camera may use their cellphone cameras. The principles of photography will be practiced and applied to all cameras equally.
The event will start at the Bennett Spring State Park Nature Center with a discussion of the principles and techniques to be practiced on the walk. After the walk, there will be a discussion where participants may ask questions about what they encountered. Participants will learn that the success in photography does not depend upon equipment as much as technique.
The photo walk will be led by volunteer Al Griffin, a professional photographer who does commercial and fine art photography. Griffin's commercial work has been published in various magazines, and his fine art images have been exhibited in New York City and Paris.
