This event has been rescheduled from May 6 to Aug. 12 due to flooding in the park.
Trout fishing tags are free for kids ages 15 and under on Saturday, Aug. 12. The kids free fishing tags can be picked up at the registration booth the night before the event from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. or all day Saturday during the event. All children must pick up their tag before fishing. A special designated fishing area will be provided as kids only; however, kids can fish anywhere in the park. For more information, call Montauk State Fish Hatchery at 573-548-2585. The event is sponsored by Missouri State Parks and Missouri Department of Conservation.
Fishing times: 6:30 a.m. - 8:15 p.m.
