6/13/2015 | Osage Village State Historic Site | Walker, MO
Osage Village State Historic Site preserves the home of the Osage tribe during much of the 1700s. The quiet hilltop once had a population of more than 2,000 people, living in some 200 lodges. Tours will detail the history of the site, and offer visitors a larger picture of the Osage culture. Visitors will hike the .8-mile interpretive trail, and staff will point out significant features along the way. Appropriate shoes and sunscreen are recommended.
