10/12/2013 | Washington State Park | De Soto, MO
The day will begin with a craft fair, held at the Big River Shelter and sponsored by local Missouri artisans and crafters. Homemade food and crafts will be available for purchase. Hayrides will also be among the fun activities planned for this event. Campers are encouraged to participate in an evening of early trick-or-treating activities in the campground. This program is free to our visitors and will surely delight the entire family.
A highlight of the event will be two performances by WildHeart at 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Emmy-winning educators and entertainers Jan and George Syrigos make up the musical group WildHeart. This duo captures young audiences with a strong science message exploring wildlife, habitats and natural history. WildHeart energizes their original award-winning music with motion, media and the conservation message for a wild and unforgettable journey through our natural world - "bringing the heart of the wild . . . to the heart of the child!."
