This camp is an opportunity for your burgeoning historian to have five fun-filled days of exploring Missouri's history-hands on. Campers will learn about Missouri history and 1800s-era skills and crafts in a fun and interactive approach. Campers will have an exciting new experience with a different learning theme each day. Themes to be included are: Show Me Missouri, Westward Discovery, Pioneer Living, Be a History Detective and Missouri River. Some of the activities include butter churning, hearth cooking, rope making, archery, flint and steel fire starting, crafts, games, animals, and much more! Day campers will be able to earn their Missouri State Parks Explorer patch.
Each participant will receive a camp T-shirt, water bottle, drawstring bag and patch as remembrances from this unique camp. Contact the historic site for more information.
