Join Missouri Mines State Historic Site staff for the Old Miners Open House! This event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the historic site.
This event honors the mine workers of Missouri’s Old Lead Belt region, retired miners, and others associated with the history of mining in our area. There will be activities for all ages at this event, including a sand table, a mine car shoveling contest and much more.
All activities are free and open to the public, and there is no need to register. Additionally, there will be free admission to the site’s Powerhouse Museum during this event.
