Echo Bluff State Park and Current River State Park are hosting a series of Women Outdoors classes on the second Thursday of the month in April, May, June, July and September. These classes are taught by women and designed to give women more confidence in getting out in nature.

Class Details:
April 11 – Archery – Learn how to safely shoot a compound bow and how to use an atlatl. Meet at the old Camp Zoe Lodge at Echo Bluff State Park.
May 9 – Orienteering – Learn some basic compass skills. Meet at the Bluff Top Pavilion at Echo Bluff State Park.
June 13 – Dutch Oven Cooking: Not Just for Chili – Learn how to use and maintain a Dutch oven, and then eat some food prepared in a Dutch oven! Meet at the Bluff Top Pavilion at Echo Bluff State Park.
July 11 – Water – Let's get in the river and get wet. In this class you will learn about water quality and how to use a water filtration system to get drinkable water from rivers and creeks. Meet at the tennis court at Current River State Park.
Sept. 12 – Birding 101 – Birding is not just a springtime activity. Come learn about fall migration, winter birding and feeder birding. Binoculars and field guides will be available, but you are welcome to bring your own. Meet at the Bluff Top Pavilion at Echo Bluff State Park.
