Bald Eagle Days

1/6/2024 | Roaring River State Park | Cassville, MO

Join us Saturdays Dec. 16, 2023, and Jan. 6, 2024, to learn all about bald eagles and search for these magnificent birds along Roaring River! When water sources freeze in the north, bald eagles migrate south to find food and water. With its constant flowing water and abundance of fish, Roaring River is an ideal location for bald eagles.

Stop by the Ozark Chinquapin Nature Center anytime between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to participate in eagle-themed crafts and activities. Spotting scopes will be set up to help you see eagles, and warm beverages will be available for you to enjoy. You are also welcome to bring binoculars, spotting scopes and cameras of your own.

This program is free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Participants should dress appropriately for the weather and are encouraged to bring water and snacks.

For more information, call the Ozark Chinquapin Nature Center at 417-847-3742.
