The playground is temporarily closed for renovation.
A sinkhole has been fenced off at MM 254.9 (east of Calhoun). Trail users should exercise caution in this location until repairs can be completed.
A construction project to widen the shoulders of Hwy. 185 will be ongoing through this fall. Park visitors should be extra cautious when approaching the park entrance between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Traffic may be temporarily stopped at times. The section being widened is approximately 2.3 miles between the park entrance and the town of Sullivan.

Park trails are temporarily closed to equestrian and bicycle use due to muddy conditions. The soonest they may reopen is Feb. 8.
The ORV riding area will be closed from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016. The Leadbelt National Enduro will be held during that time.
Stinging Nettle Trail and the Park Contact Station are temporarily closed due to recent flooding.
The following areas are temporarily closed due to flooding:

All three park boat ramps are temporarily closed due to hazardous conditions from winter weather.
The following areas are currently affected by flooding. Trail users should exercise caution in all areas as work crews assess the trail for damage and water over the trail. Also be alert for work crews using heavy equipment while repairs are underway. .....

Portions of Campground 1 have been reopened. These remaining closures are due to damage from recent flooding.
Blue Heron Trail is temporarily closed due to flooding and damage.
Users of Mudlick Trail or Shut-Ins Trail should be alert to portions of the trails at creek crossings and low-lying areas that may be impassable due to flooding or debris. Users may come across obstacles such as erosion and fallen trees from recent storms. Repairs will be made as soon as is practical.
