The Missouri River is predicted to crest at 27,1' at the Boonville Gage late Monday evening, May 30.
When the river level reaches 26.1’, predicted to occur mid-morning on Sunday, May 29, flood water over the trail will cause the Katy Trail to be closed from the Rocheport Trailhead at MM 178.3 to Davisdale Conservation Area at MM 182.2, until further notice.
Trail users are being rerouted to Hwy. 40, so will need to use caution. Signs will direct trail users to follow the below detour:
Water levels have receded to allow entrance to the park's campground through the secondary access. It is expected that the main campground gate will be reopened sometime Sunday morning.

Park trails are temporarily closed to equestrian and bicycle use due to muddy conditions. The soonest they may reopen is May 30.
Due to the wet conditions the Opossum Hollow Trail will be temporarily closed to bicyclists and McAdoo Trail will be temporarily closed to equestrian users. All trails are opened to hikers. Please be careful of debris, wet, or muddy areas of the trails. We anticipate reopening the trails for normal use which includes equestrian and bicycling on Monday May 30, 2016.
The open shelter at Buzzard's Roost Picnic Area will be temporarily closed for renovation beginning August 15, 2016 through December 31, 2016.
