The bridge for Missouri Route 161/Route J across I-70 in Montgomery County will be temporarily closed for a bridge replacement until further notice.
During the closure of Exit 170, visitors should use Exit 175 (New Florence Exit) and travel to and from the park using the north frontage road. The north frontage road connects with Missouri Route 161 and TT at Danville.
The equestrian trail in Gans Creek Wild Area is open for hiking and equestrian use from June 1, 2018 through October 31, 2018. Bicycles and other mechanized equipment are not allowed in the wild area. Please check the trails hot line 573-442-2249 during wet periods. Trails are closed to equestrian use when trails are muddy.
The Veteran's Memorial Picnic Area will be closed on June 30 from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. This will be the electronics recycling location for the Waste Free at Washington State Park event.
Coakley Hollow Trail is temporarily closed until further notice due to flood damage.
The Big River Day Use Area and Shelter #2 will be temporarily closed on Sat., July 28 at 8 p.m. due to a special event.
The area will reopen on Sun., July 29 at 7 a.m.
The showerhouse and modern restrooms at Viney Creek Recreation Area are temporarily not available until further notice. The structure is heavily damaged from a fire. A vault toilet will be available for use.
It is unknown at this time when this service will be restored.
For the 2018 Season, Missouri Park Adventures will operate cabin check-in and watercraft rentals from the swimming pool building at Washington State Park. Thunderbird Lodge will be temporarily closed while a restoration project gets underway.

The main park entrance road at Finger Lakes State Park is temporarily closed for a dam renovation project beginning Mon., April 30, 2018. The road is anticipated to be re-opened by Fri., July 27, 2018.
During this closure, visitors will need to use the temporary entrance located off Lake Road which will direct traffic through the Motocross Track parking lot. View the detour map for details.
The frost-free water spigot in the campground will be turned off during the month of November. This shut-off is necessary to allow work on the new water system being installed.
The campground will remain open, however, campers will need to plan accordingly and bring along any needed water for their stay.
The swimming beach at Finger Lakes State park is closed for the 2018 season to allow for dam renovations.
The park's water system is being upgraded. During this time, the drinking fountains are unavailable. Those planning a visit to the park should pack along their own water. Bottled water will be available for purchase through vending machines located at each of the restroom locations.
Rough areas, minor debris and downed trees can occur at any time on any section of the trail due to weather variations. Staff and equipment could be encountered on the trail as clean up or repairs are completed. All users should be alert to these possible conditions when on the trail and should never go around fenced off closures.

Visitors to the historic site should be cautious of construction work until further notice. While the bridge will always be viewable from the site's parking lot and informational kiosk, there may be times when the bridge will be inaccessible. Visitors should use caution and follow directions of signage and construction staff on site.
Visitors should be cautious of construction and landscaping work as work continues around the showerhouse facilities in Campground 1.
Due to the Capitol Construction Project beginning Friday, March 2, 2018, visitors to the Missouri State Museum should be aware of the following changes to building access:
