Tuesdays on the Trail

at Katy Trail State Park

Take a tram ride on the Katy Trail during one of the Tuesdays on the Trail programs. Similar in nature to the Fall Colors Tram Tours held annually in October in Rocheport, the trips will highlight the natural and cultural history of certain sections of the trail while providing opportunity to enjoy the trail to visitors who might otherwise not have the ability to do so. Tours are planned for the first Tuesday of each month in April, May, June, September and October for a total of five tour dates.  (July and August are not scheduled due to extremely warm temperatures and dusty trail conditions.)

Each tour will host approximately 25 people. An interpretive guide will provide a presentation on the history of the Katy Trail, and commentary on the local natural and cultural history along the trail.

The tours are part of Missouri State Parks’ Seniors to State Parks initiative with funding for the tram provided by the Missouri Parks Association.
