Interpretive Programs

at Harry S Truman State Park

During the summer months, enjoy a variety of regularly scheduled interpretive programs on Friday and Saturday nights. Programs include nature hikes, nature bingo and Explorer Program activities, as well as live snake demonstrations and outdoor educational programs. For additional information or to inquire about special group programs, please contact the park naturalist at 660-438-7711.

A visitor center, operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, is located on top of Kaysinger Bluff and offers a panoramic view of the lake. Interpretive displays explain the area's history, wildlife and archaeology, as well as the practical functions of the lake.
