On the third Friday of each month, staff at the Missouri State Museum will take visitors on a themed tour of the Missouri state Capitol at 3 p.m. These tours are different from the standard tours given daily at the museum. Themed tours explore a wide array of topics from in-depth looks at specific artworks to tours exploring the capitol as a product of the resources of Missouri.

Oct. 16: World War I and the Missouri State Capitol
Explore Missouri’s connection to World War I through the Capitol’s exhibits, plaques, paintings and sculpture.
Nov. 20: Exploring Children in Art
Learn about how and why children are represented in many of the Capitol’s murals.
Dec. 18: Missouri Made -- This program has been canceled.
The Missouri state Capitol showcases a variety of Missouri products, from its construction materials to its artworks.
