Wildflower Hike

Take a 1.5-mile, moderate level hike on Loutre River Trail with naturalist Lorie Volenberg and learn about the beautiful wildflowers that are blooming. The hike will take you through several ecosystems, such as moist river bottomlands, open oak woodlands and a small limestone glade. Bring your cameras, your notepads, and any flower identification books you might desire to have on the hike. Meet at the boat ramp parking lot. Hikers are encouraged to dress in layers, wear sturdy, closed toe shoes and to bring a bottle of water. Insect repellent is also recommended.
