at Jewell Cemetery State Historic Site
This miniature oasis is contained within an old stone wall with large trees watching over those sleeping here. A mostly level, gravel parking lot provides parking and a picturesque gate allows entrance to the cemetery. The gate may be too narrow for some wheelchairs.
Just inside the entrance is an interpretive station providing a narrative of this site's history. A concrete pathway leads from the gate to either side of the yard; however, cracks in the concrete may prove a barrier to some.
