Mining/Mineral Museum
The mining/mineral museum, which is housed in the former mine-mill powerhouse operated by St. Joe Lead Co., is the starting point for your journey back in time. A paved parking lot, located near the gatehouse, has a 1% average cross-slope and provides plenty of accessible parking.
A paved pathway leads to the museum entrance. Here, you may browse independently, or be conducted through the exhibit galleries by a knowledgeable guide. The ramps into the exhibit area and the theater are short but steep, and assistance may be necessary. All of the exhibits are accessible.
The restrooms have front-transfer toilets, accessible lavatories and electric hand dryers.
