Onondaga Cave State Park and the Onondaga Friends Association will host this event, which is coordinated and sponsored by the World Bird Sanctuary in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Conservation, the Missouri Bat Census and Missouri Department of Transportation. At 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., representatives from Incredible Bats will present live bat shows featuring African straw colored fruit bats. While not participating with the shows, the fruit bats will be on display in the visitor center for all to observe. For everyone, there will discounted tours of Onondaga Cave, exhibits on cave gear decontamination, White Nose Syndrome, cave restoration, Missouri Bat Census, etc. On Saturday evening, 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., bat biologists will be studying bats through mist netting at Onondaga Cave’s natural entrance.
