Come to the park for the annual informational meeting, which is from 10 a.m. to noon at the Works Progress Administration (WPA) shelter house. After the annual meeting, the 2nd annual Archaeology Day event starts. Members of the Sedalia - West Central Missouri Archaeological Society, a chapter of the Missouri Archaeological Society, will be at the park's visitor center to discuss Missouri archaeology. At 3 p.m., Tom Hartline, who is the chapter's president, will speak on "Archaic Bannerstones and Other Problematics." The organization will also have a table of artifacts for you to view from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. You can bring in your artifact for assistance in identification by society members. This event is free and open to the public, and it is presented in cooperation with Missouri Archaeological Society and Missouri State Parks.
