Bring your chairs, marshmallow stick, jack-o'-lantern and smiles to the Meramec State Park campground and join in on the fun. The event will begin at 6 p.m. with the judging of the best coloring page. Each registered family in the campground will receive one coloring page per child under the age of 17 when they arrive on Friday, Oct. 21. The coloring pages must be turned into the campground booth by 3 p.m. on Saturday with the child’s name, site number and age on the back.
At 7 p.m. on Saturday, there will be a presentation on "Bats" at the campground amphitheater. At 8 p.m., come join the fun with a bonfire, s’mores making and a storyteller located in the grass area next to the campground booth. The judging of the most original jack-o'-lantern will begin at 9 p.m. Jack-o'-lantern decorations should be appropriate for all age groups, and no carving rules apply. Please have your jack-o'-lantern facing the road from your campsite for judging. A free electric site camping coupon will be given at the site with the best jack-o'-lantern.
